Welcome to ACO School of Music!

Discover how the art of playing the piano can enrich your life today and for years to come!

ACO School of Music is an established piano and music studio in Cedar Park, Texas.

Students of ACO School of Music will be exposed to a variety of repertoire, be given a strong foundation of music theory and ear training and will have numerous ensemble and performance opportunities.  Not only will students become fine musicians, but they will cultivate self-discipline, problem solving and goal setting characteristics that will follow them through life.

Ana Ortega

Ana Cantú Ortega established ACO School of Music in the Cedar Park/Austin area back in 1999 but has been teaching privately for over 30 years.  She has shared her love of the piano to students ages 3-90.  Many of her students have been accepted to study at top music schools around Texas which include Baylor University, The University of Houston, The University of Texas at Austin and The University of North Texas to study piano performance and composition.

My mission as a teacher is to provide the highest quality of music education at each individual student’s appropriate speed of learning.  My goal is for my students to become independent learners and not dependent learners.  I want to teach them the skills they need to figure out how to play their favorite piece of music on their own whether it be today or 25 years from now!

Because each student learns at their own pace, lessons are constructed to meet the specific needs of each student.  These lessons will include a balance of theory, rhythmic training, sight-reading, and a repertoire fitting to each student’s level.

one plays the piano with one's mind"
